SHE/HER/HEARD: A Womxn and Media Storytelling Forum
Description
The paths womxn have to walk in their careers aren’t easy. There are stereotypes you can’t perpetuate. Minds you have to change.
**Update – We have reached our Zoom event capacity and have decided to move this event to a Facebook Live on our She/Her/Heard Facebook event page. All event details will remain the same**
Our relationship to the creative, strategy, and communications industries has been tumultuous. We’ve made progress. Yet there’s still so much to learn from. And even more to do.
To keep everyone safe, join us virtually for this event from the comfort of your own home, where speakers will share their experiences living as womxn in the arts, advertising, marketing, production, communication, and other like industries.
Hear from local vets and newcomers alike in 10-minute talks about subjects ranging from working as the only womxn writer on a beer account in the ‘90s to simple tips on how to uplift other womxn across our industries.
Access to this virtual event is free, however, we are accepting donations for the St. Louis Period Alliance. If you do not wish to donate through us, we still suggest supporting the St. Louis Period Alliance and their efforts. Day-of attendance will be first clicked, first served.
All womxn and allies are welcome and encouraged to tune in from home.
The term “womxn” is an intersectional term which has been in use since 2015 to explicitly include transgender women and non-binary people.
Thanks to our sponsors: Once Films and Spot Content Studio for helping us make this event possible.
